Technique: Watercolor, pencil, and pen on paper.
Alice is a warrior and my reinterpretation of Alice in Wonderland—except that Alice, with a bit of a ninja vibe, is an evolved woman of the present and the future, and Wonderland is the reality of this planet: a polluted, soggy, and toxic world, which is why she protects herself with a cloak and a bandana covering her mouth.
The cyborg girl with the mask and katana is the visualization of her inner strength, which flows out of her body in a supernatural way. A small moment, an inner vision where her soul resides and is protected—an omnipresent force, a warrior’s strength, that we all possess.
In reality, she is Vivi’s vision, but if you close your eyes, what does yours look like?
